Pusan II

After a good nights sleep it was time to wake up and start packing. Our plan was to get some breakfast, pack and then drop off our luggage at the train station so we were free to roam the area around Jagalchi Market. We hadn't yet decided on a set time to go back to Seoul.

I wanted to do some video before breakfast.

Packing up.

Very tired while waiting for breakfast. Based on price vs. quality I will say that it was a very poor deal for us. We did however have the full attention of the staff since besides us, only one other couple were in the restaurant. On the TV, we could see that John McCain had won New Hampshire.

On the taxi going back towards the Jung-gu area

Our plan was to find a locker for our bags, we had been told it was inside the station and it was quite cheap to deposit it there.

View of central Busan from the train station

Yep, this is Busan!

This is what happens, I also wanted it to be known that I was in Busan.

Additional funding was required, after all, I thought we were gonna have the puffer fish.

Shin Dong-A Fish Market

Unfortunately I wasn't hungry, there's just so much great smelling food around the market and it's so cheap and with the freshest ingredients. Some people might be a little bit scared by the hygiene but don't be. Only very few places are bad and you know it instantly when you're there.

Inside Jagalchi Market - the centre of the fish trade in Busan

Blowfish/pufferfish - fugu anyone?

We bought some of the the shrimp lying in the middle (the lightly-coloured) which were recommended - they were also the most expensive ones

Then we selected fish from the tank for sashimi

End of days

Shinyoung made me pay attention to the whole ordeal which she was filming from the staircase. Quite fascinating.

Waiting for the meal to be prepared upstairs

Sashimi...

...and shrimp ... and scallop seared in butter...yummi

The most delicious taste I've ever experienced

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon
