Leeum

Our plan was to go to Leeum but first we needed a good beginning with some nice breakfast - traditional Korean style. We walked around the neighbourhood for quite some time since we couldn't find anything we wanted (we looked for the classic Korean porridge). But I ended up lending my glasses to Shinyoung so she could see the hundreds of signs on all the buildings to find a place where they make the porridge. We went into this building which mostly looked like an empty office building. We followed a few signs and found this small place which was empty except for woman sitting by one of the tables watching tv. We went in and discovered that we could chose between 6 or 7 kinds of porridge.

I decided on the mushroom porridge while Shinyoung wanted to have the abalone. As far as I remember we both realized we made the right choice since we both thought ours was the best.

After this good and inexpensive meal (5-6 USD) we took the bus heading towards Leeum.

Since we had to change to the train we stopped for coffee (well, Shinyoung did)

The girls looked so happy and full of life.

So this is Leeum - or to be more precise, the view to the right upon walking towards the front door. The sculpture is "Maman" by Louise Bourgeois.

I really like this photo. Nothing great about it but I get the sculpture, a large part of the museum and then the Hyatt in the background - and of course Shinyoung walking on the right.

An amazing photo - you look beautiful baby!

After finishing up the permanent exhibition we continued down to the temporary exhibition with the name Void in Korean Art
